For most of us, spring is the time to get out and dust off after being cooped up inside all winter. Here in New Jersey, we welcome the long sunny days and increasingly warmer weather with open arms. Spring is the time of year when we can get outside and be active. Walking, jogging, riding a bike, kayaking, gardening and even mowing the lawn are all ways to stay physically active outdoors. There are studies that show that exercising outdoors can improve stress levels, lower blood pressure, increase heart health and increase muscle mass among MANY others. All of these things combined significantly increases the overall quality of life for people of all ages and fitness levels.
